Mavis Staples: Have a Little Faith

Mavis Staples was born in Chicago in 1940, and has spent most of her life performing. Her voice has stood the test of time, and her subject matter is as insightful and relevant as ever. I would suggest paying particular attention to the lyrics in "There's a Devil on the Loose" for as biting a commentary on the current state of affairs as you are likely to hear anywhere. (Perhaps the reason she didn't get the radio play she deserves for this album?)
